Hyaluronic acid

Dear patients,

Hyaluronic acid has been effectively used in intra-articular injections for years in order to relieve the symptoms of osteoarthrosis, mainly in the knee and hip joints, but also in small joints. It has now been discovered that it has another extremely successful usage. A special hyaluronic acid compound has been produced which can be used to treat tendinopathies (diseases affecting the tendons at the epiphysis or in the synovial tendon sheaths). Hyaluronic acid lubricates collagen fibres, meaning impacts are absorbed when the tendon is subject to tension or pressure and harmful inflammatory substances are prevented from reaching the tendons. This frequently leads to a rapid improvement in symptoms of diseases that can sometimes be difficult to treat therapeutically. It can also be an ideal supplement, or alternative, to shockwave therapy. It is mainly used to relieve the symptoms of Achilles tendonitis, tennis elbow, patellar tendinitis and tendonitis in the shoulder area. Hyaluronic acid is injected twice within the space of a week. We now have this product in stock and can use it when required for treatment, or as the patient wishes. (individual health services)
